it’s true, charles bronson was my grandpa. during the day, he performed hard labor at the phillips 66 refinery plan in sweeny, texas. this is the abuelo that i knew. he went to bed around 10pm and always woke up around 3 or 4 in the morning. he worked 40 hours some weeks, and over 80 hours during shut down. he was too old for such work, but done it nonetheless. he had family, and he’s from the generation that you work until you can’t work anymore, which often means til your death, literally.
